Strengthening the foundation of Thay’s legacy

Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) founded Plum Village 40 years ago as place where people could learn the art of living in harmony with one another and the Earth. It was his first monastic community in the West and is the largest practice center in the Plum Village tradition.

Our aspiration through this campaign is to:

– Bring the hamlets up to code so we can continue to welcome lay friends

– Provide for the health and well-being of our monastic siblings

– Institute green building practices in all our work
